Zulay Shenao was born in Colombia. She is an American-born Colombian actor. Her most notable performance was in the role of Esperanza for the Oprah Winfrey Network series 'If loving you is incorrect'. Zulay Henao has been in a variety of films like Illegal Tender and 'Takers', Boy Wonder,' and True Memoirs of an International Assassin. She was born in Medellin, Antioquia, Colombia She, along with her family moved to the USA when she was just four years old. Henao was stationed at Fort Bragg North Carolina and was stationed there for 3 years as a soldier in the U.S. Army. She was a student at Methodist College during this time. Later, she studied acting at the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts. Additionally, she worked in odd jobs before beginning her professional career in the Hollywood scene.
